My Goal as a Christian Counselor

As your Christian counselor, I will help you improve your relationship with God and others. My desire is for you to experience God in an authentic, loving relationship as the foundation of your security and confidence. To achieve this, we’ll need to identify and resolve the obstacles and barriers that keep you from that ultimate relationship. Some of my primary goals in therapy also include a strong emphasis on healthy communication, problem solving, and a balanced view of oneself.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

With nearly three decades of counseling experience, I cater each therapy session to your individual needs and comfort levels. I will encourage you to communicate openly and with ongoing feedback so I know what you expect and what you would like to focus on during our time together. With empathy and genuine interest, I use Christian principles and therapeutic methods to restore wholeness and healing to the broken parts of your life, with God’s help.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

My philosophy of therapy is holistic, meaning that I believe people are made up of many parts: body, soul (mind, emotions, will), and spirit. These parts must function in a balanced relationship in order for us to thrive. How we feel about ourselves and how we view the world affects the quality of our relationships.

When we can balance a positive identity with our role in the world while also remaining connected to others, we feel whole. Brokenness can occur if any of these relationships are out of balance. In therapy, I help my clients assess the factors and patterns that are contributing to the lack of balance so they can figure out how to become whole again.
